Данная разработка урока предназначена для обобщения изученного материала в 6 классе по теме "Погода". Урок построен в соответствии с ФГОС ООО. С ПРИМЕНЕНИЕМ ГРУППОВЫХ ТЕХНОЛОГИЙ

ПО ТЕМЕ «Погода»

Цели урока:


Образовательные:


  1. Обобщение знаний по теме "Погода", активизация навыков устной

речи по теме "Погода и климат. Времена года"



Развивающие:


  1. Формирование механизма языковой догадки и умения переноса знаний и навыков в новую ситуацию;

  2. Развитие логического и творческого мышления, памяти, воображения, способности к формулированию выводов из прочитанного.


Воспитательные:


  1. Формирование потребности в коллективной работе;

  3. Расширение кругозора учащихся;

1. Организационный момент. (2 мин)


Teacher: Good afternoon! I’m glad to see you. I want you to do your best. So, let’s begin.

What season is it now? Is it snowy today? Is it pleasant today? Is it windy? What is your favourite season?

What will we speak about?

(Учащиеся делают предположения о теме занятия, принимают участие в беседе)


Teacher: Of course you’ll share your knowledge how to forecast weather and you will learn some interesting facts to our topic “The weather we have”. Let’s enjoy our English and sing with the singer the song “What’s the weather like today?”


2. Мотивационный. Фонетическая зарядка (3 мин)

3. Развитие умений и навыков диалогической речи. Самостоятельная работа учащихся.

Работа в парах.  (5 мин)


Teacher: You know people talk about the weather more in Britain than in most parts of the world. When two Englishmen are introduced to each other, if they can’t think of anything else to talk about, they talk about the weather. Let’s do the way they do.

Teacher: Read their short conversations, then turn your card to see if you can translate the same from Russian into English. It will help you in a future work.

4. Активизация лексико-грамматических навыков. Работа в группах (15 мин).

Teacher: Every day you listen to a weather forecast on radio and television, because you want to know what the weather will be like, whether you must carry an umbrella with you when you go out.

I’m sure you can forecast weather. At home, you have prepared much material how to forecast weather by watching birds, insects and flowers.

Now, I want you to role play. Let us work in groups of 4, help me to change our decorations, to turn the desks over.

Задание для первой группы.


I want you to play the part of a weatherman and tell TV viewers what weather they will have tomorrow in Novosibirsk region and in our town. Decide who will be a painter, an announcer, a weatherman, a secretary.

Задание для второй группы.


“Champion quiz”.

Take your imagination. You are the members of school team. You are from different forms of our school. You compete with each other in the knowledge of the weather forecast. One of you will be your leader, who has a quiz for you. Convince him you know how to forecast weather by watching birds and animals, insects and flowers. Your home task was to make up 15 questions. If you answer all of 5 questions, your score will be 5.


Задание для третьей группы.


You are the family. One of you is a mother, another will be a father. You’ve got two children: a daughter and a son. The children were going to have their week­end somewhere in the country­side. The parents wanted the same, but the situation has changed. The mother has read the horrible weather forecast from newspaper. As for father, he learned the same after watching TV. They do not want their children to spend their week­end anywhere more but besides home. Agree with their parents. Act out their conversation.


5. Дети представляют свою работу в группах. (10 мин)

Работа первой группы.

Дети оформляют доску. На доске учащиеся рисуют экран телевизора и делают на листах бумаги календарь погоды.

“Good evening and here is the weather forecast for tomorrow. In Novosibirsk region it will be cold. In the North the temperature will be at night between ­12­10° below zero. And at noon ­5­6° below zero; windy weather. In the mountains of Salairskiy Kryazh it will be much colder; it will snow with heavy snowfalls in some places, low pressure.

In the South of Novosibirsk region and in our town the day will be bright and clear with a lot of sunshine, but it may be windy in the evening. The temperature will be ­5 ­6° at noon and ­8 ­9° at night. The barometer will show high pressure. The weather forecast was done by the members of role game. Andrew Dyatlov was your announcer. It was Andrew Dyatlov with you. Good luck”.


Teacher: Oh, dreamy weather. I want to have the same. Thanks. You can forecast weather, you can be an announcer. And this may also be the beginning of your future profession, and may be I'll see one of you on the television screen or in you tube. Well done, good work. All the members have done their work. Now I see, you have certain knowledge how to forecast weather.



Работа второй группы.

Questions:


  1. It is well known that some insects become more troublesome, isn’t it? (Yes, really before a change in the weather).

  2. What do flies and mosquitoes do? (They begin to hum and bite before the rain).

  3. And what about the bees? (I am sure, they stay at home if it rains).

  4. What day will be like, if the bees fly away? (I think, the day will be fine).

  5. Who flies only on evenings before nice weather? (I guess big blue-black beetles do).

  6. Now I’ll see how you can complete the poem.

A fly on your nose,

You slap and it goes;

If it comes back again.

(It will bring a good rain).

  1. When is the smell of flowers very strong? (Certainly, I know, before it rains).

  2. How do the birds fly before it rains? (I am sure, the birds fly lower).

  3. Did you ever see a bird hiding its head under its wing? Do you know what it means? (It means that soon it will become colder).

  4. How may your cat tell you what the weather will be like? (If my cat washes behind the ears, it means it will soon rain).

  5. The colour of the sky is important in forecasting weather, how can it be? (A red evening sky tells of good weather the next day).

  6. What does it mean, when the summer stars are clear and bright? (It means that the weather will be good).

  7. What weather will the South wind bring? (It will bring wet weather).

  8. What about the North wind? (It will bring wet and cold weather).

  9. If clouds move in different directions, what future weather do they show? (They show that soon a change in the weather will come).


Teacher: Go on observing nature carefully. Try to do it. It will give you much fun.

Mother: Hello, folks! What are you doing here? Are you playing?

Father: Are you telling jokes and riddles?

Daughter: Oh, so many questions. We are just sitting and talking.

Son: We were just discussing our week­end when you came in.

Mother: Our week­end, I am afraid we can’t go to the country.

Son: Oh, mum dear, what’s happened?

Mother: I say. (Берет листок будто это газета и читает) I’ll read you only one sentence from “Daily world”, here it is. “A big storm can come up to the sea­side. This storm is called tornado”.

Daughter: I’ve never heard about such a storm. Is it dangerous?

Father: I know it can ruin everything in its path, and besides I’ve heard the weather forecast for tomorrow. It doesn’t sound promising. It will be a cloudy and foggy day with a shower.

Daughter: We can’t believe. Our weather is always uncertain.

Son: We can’t stay at home because of such bad weather forecast.

Daughter: Oh, dad dear, look, big blue ­ black beetles fly. Do you know what does it mean?

Father: May be it will be rain?

Daughter: No, big blue ­ black beetles fly only on evening before nice weather.

Son: Look at the sky, please. A red evening sky tells of good weather next day.

Mother: You are right. We see you can forecast weather, but we can believe neither newspaper’s nor television’s forecast.

Father: By the way, don’t forget the weather changes very quickly in our place, doesn’t it? As for tornado, it is such a terrible thing. Let’s wait a little.

Daughter and son: What a pity! Nothing to do only wait.



Teacher: Oh, such an acting and besides you know how to forecast weather. I liked your English. Well done.

It’s time I think to relax and to stay for a short time in such a beautiful place like Moscow Suburb during a fine weather. Do you want to sing?

8. Рефлексия. Запись домашнего задания. (5 мин)


Учитель подводит итоги занятия. Предлагает осуществить самооценку достижений, раздаёт учащимся «смайлики».

Учащиеся выслушивают друг друга, озвучивают своё мнение, тем самым оценивают результаты достигнутого на уроке.

Teacher: I enjoy your work today. So your marks are… Put down your home task. Its ex. 4 p. 63 ; ex. 6 p. 64-65
