Методическая разработка урока английского языка по теме «Ideal place for travelling. Where is it? », 8 класс, учебник В.П. Кузовлева.



Цели урока: познакомить с отношением зарубежных подростков к путешествию, с их интересами, любимыми местами путешествий.

Задачи урока:

Развивающие: развивать внимание, развивать коммуникабельности, способность работать в парах и индивидуально, развивать творческие способности.

Воспитательные: воспитывать уважительное отношение к мнению собеседника, его взглядам, формировать способности к логическому изложению прочитанного.

Учебные: развивать умение вести диалог-расспрос (развивать умение расспрашивать о видах деятельности, используя разные вопросы), развивать познавательную деятельность.

Сопутствующая задача: развивать умения читать/ понимать на слух с целью общего, полного понимания и извлечения конкретной информации.


Ход урока.

  1. Приветствие

Teacher: Good morning, dear boys and girls! Good morning, dear guests!

Students: Good morning, teachers!


  1. Сообщение целей урока

Teacher: Today we are going to discuss what the ideal place for travelling is. You will read and listen to different people`s opinions. Then you will make your own advertising of the travel agencies and ask questions about the surveys they could offer. Then you will share your ideas about the ideal holiday. So, let`s begin our lesson.

  1. Работа с тексом диалога.

Teacher: Open your books at page 56. Mark and Brandon are talking about their holidays. Look at the photos and say what countries are they from. (Pupil: They are from Great Britain and the USA)

Teacher: Go to the interwrite board and put their conversations in order.

That’s really nice! Isn`t it wonderful to discover new countries?! It`s actually, much better than sitting round doing nothing. The best thing in America is Disneyland, I believe. I`d like to visit it someday.



Hello, Mark! How were your holidays?




By the way, where have you been?






Yes, Disneyland is fantastic! This is the life!

My parents are fun on holidays. And they don`t get cross with me. My dad went swimming with me.




I agree. My mum`s different on holidays.

She`s nicer and more cheerful (friendly).

And she always buys me more treats.

This summer I spend two weeks with my brother in Nottingham. The weather, people, everything was wonderful. We met some new friends there. We went rock climbing together and visited some old castles… Now I`m sure there are a lot of places to discover in your own country.



Oh! Great, thanks! My family and I spent a month in America.

Student 1: Brandon thinks Disneyland is the ideal place.

Student 2: Mark says that it is Nottingham. They went rock climbing and visited some old castles.

Teacher: What do the boys think about travelling with parents?

Student 3: They like to travel with their parents.

Teacher: What did the teenagers enjoy most about their holidays?

Student 4: They enjoy the weather, people and different kinds of activities.

Teacher:

Students, do you like travelling? (Yes, we do)

Do you travel with your parents? (We usually/ always travel with parents)

Do your parents discuss with you where to go on holidays? (Actually, yes. But sometimes they make their own decision where to go).

Do your parents always visit travel agency? (No, not always)

Teacher: Travel agencies offer people a wide choice of holiday. Their windows are always full of ads.

Nikita, Ira and Aibek you will make your own advertisement of the travel agencies. Take these cards please; think of what you can offer to the travellers according to the pictures.

Составление вопросов

Rashit, Mukhammeddin and Erasyl you will ask different questions about travelling using the plan. (visa, kind of travelling, how many days, activities, kind of accommodation, kind of transport, special places to visit, customs/ information).

(Would you prefer to take an exciting trip? Take adventure ten-day holidays with different activities. You`ll get the best of your holidays, if you decide to travel to a seaside resort somewhere abroad. You`ll have no problems with visa, tickets and reservation. You could dive, surfing, climbing, sailing, swimming. You won`t be disappointed).



  1. Проверка вопросов

Pupils:

  1. What tour can you offer? (We offer package holidays to Greece, Spain, Turkey / guided coach tours/seaside resort/ activity holidays in the mountains/ exchange holidays).

  2. Should we get a visa? (Well, you must get a visa for most of the countries abroad).

  3. What ways of travelling could you offer? (we can offer travelling by plane, by ship, and by train./ I think travelling by coach could be better. And you could take guided Coach Tours.

  4. How many days tour do you offer? (We offer from two-day till fifteen-day tour)

  5. What activities can we have? (There will be a great festival of …/ you will be able to spend Christmas holidays in/ (You ought to go on excursions/ do sports/ play games/ get new experience/ visit various tourist attractions/ make new friends/learn about wildlife/ fishing/diving/surfing/ climbing/sailing/swimming/learning language).

  6. What kind of accommodations can we get? (You needn`t make a hotel reservation. We offer three, four and five stars hotels/ huts and bungalows)

  7. What should we know before we go? (Do not take photos of local people without asking permission/ Do not buy souvenirs which are made of fur, skin, shells./ If you have any problems, you ought to ask for information from your travel agent.

  1. Проведение дискуссии с целым классом

Teacher: Let’s discuss the ideal holiday.

Pupil 1: I think you`d better stay in your own country. You don`t need to get visa. You can speak your own language. There are a lot places to visit in your country. To sum up, I`d recommend to visit Russia and Kazakhstan.

Pupil 2: I have another opinion. I don`t think it`s a good idea to stay at your own country. It`s wonderful to discover new places. You can know more about people, their customs and traditions. You can improve your English and make friends. You combine entertainment with learning.

Teacher: Thank you students. I think it`s doesn`t matter where you go, it`s important to spend your holidays with pleasure.

Teacher: Thank you very much. I see that you`re very creative. At home do the exercises 8, 9 at page 22, 23. Your marks for the lesson...
