Must
- Глагол must переводится как "должен". Это самый "сильный" глагол долженствования. Must - это приказ .
- You must rewrite the test as soon as possible. (Учитель говорит ученику).
- После must смысловой глагол употребляется в форме инфинитива без частицы to .
- You must do it immediately.
- Mustn’t употребляется, когда запрещено что-либо делать (правилом, законом).
- You mustn’t talk loudly in the library.
Have to
1. Выражает обусловленную обстоятельствами необходимость (вынужден).
- The vet says we have to give some medicine to our dog.
- She has to wake up at 6 a.m. tomorrow.
2. Had to – форма прошедшего времени для must и have to.
You had to do it yesterday.
- 3. don’t have to/ doesn’t have to употребляется, когда нет необходимости делать что-либо .
- You don’t have to buy extra bread.
- He doesn’t have to wake up early.
- 4. didn’t have to – прошедшая форма для don’t have to/ doesn’t have to
- They didn’t have to go shopping yesterday.
Can возможность что-нибудь сделать (могу, умею)
- I can play the piano.
- He can answer the question.
- I cannot swim. (я не умею плавать)
- He cannot understand.
- Can you sing?
- Can you help me?
- Could – прошедшая форма от can
- I could not ski when I was little.
- She could not jump so high.
