TO THE 75 anniversary of Victory Day.

WOMEN of the Great Patriotic War: PRASKOVIA EREMEEVNA.

1. We have a lot of holidays in our country, but the greatest national holiday is Victory Day. In 2020 we shall celebrate the75 anniversary of Victory Day.

2. 75 years ago our soldiers gained(выиграли) a victory. Most of our people suffered(страдали) from war hardships( лишения), among them were our women. They tried to defend their children from hunger, cold, and other sufferings.

3. My story is about one of the Soviet woman. She is PRASKOVIA EREMEEVNA.

4. The heaviest lot fall on PRASKOVIA EREMEEVNA. She had 9 sons and every one of military age. All her sons went to the war. She knew her sons. She was a very king woman. She was a woman of high morals. All her life she worked hard. She looked after cattle. She worked in the kitchen garden, she made meals, she washed for all her family, she looked after her grandchildren. And she found time to visit her children.

5. And then came a war.

Do you know the famous song at that time? I know….

1. It was a song being sang everywhere during the first days:

Rise the great country,

Rise for the deadly(dedli) fight

The brothers of Volodichkins went to the front. Their mother saw them off(провожала) one by one.

At night she would ask god to take her life – but let her sons live.

She gave life to them, 9 sons. They gave their lives for the sake their Motherland. Could anything be more greater than their heroic deed?

1. Have you ever seen the monument devoted to our сountrywoman(землячка)?

The monument to PRASKOVIA EREMEEVNA. The street is named after brothers Volodichkins.

1. There is a museum here now.

2. Konstantin Simonov wrote the poem “Wait for me, and I’ll come back” . I’d like to recite you some lines of the poem. This poem is devoted to his wife Valentina Serova, but I think it is devoted not only V.S. but all women of the war, including PRASKOVIA VOLODICHKINA

14 Victory Day is a holiday that unites all Russian people. I live in the best country and I’m proud of my Mother land. I know great future waits Russia.
