The aim of our lesson today is to train speaking about movies, and fame.
2. Dividing into teams
I’ll divide you into two groups. Please there are two words “Kazakh film” and “Columbia pictures” and you must choose one of them. Who takes the word “Kazakh film” must go to the table with word “Kazakh film”. Who takes the word “Columbia pictures” must go to the table with word “Columbia pictures”.

Cinemas in London
In London there are a lot of cinemas and cinema clubs. Some of them show a large number of continental films. Cinema – going is a regular habit for many people in London, the number of cinema-goers is much larger than that of theatre goers. The cinema in Britain is looked upon as rather an entertainment than “the arts”.
If you want to know which films are on a daily newspaper will have a list of films and shows with the hour when they begin.
Some cinemas show films in the afternoon, early evening and late evening.
If you want to watch a film which is a hit of the season with a popular actor or actress starring, and if you can’t get to the cinema early enough to get tickets you can buy them in advance in most large stores and hotels.

This is the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is situated in the north - west coast of Europe between the Atlantic Ocean on the north and north west and the North Sea on the east. The UK consists of 4 parts. They are: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The UK lies on the British Isles. The UK is one of the smallest countries in the world. It is twice smaller than France or Spain. The area of the UK is some 244. 100 square kilometers. The population of Great Britain is over 61 million. Great Britain is not rich in mineral recourses. Coal and oil are the most of them. The UK is one of the most industrialized countries. Agriculture takes also an important sector in the economy of the country. It isn’t too hot in summer or too cold in winter. It often rains in England. The UK is a constitutional monarchy. The Queen Elizabeth the II is officially the head of the state. The formal name of the British national flag is Union Flag, but it is commonly known as the Union Jack.
