Данный сценарий разработан к ежегодному фестивалю "Золотые страницы мировой литературы" для старших классов, где учащиеся представляют театрализованные отрывки из мировых произведений (в сценарии предложены произведения).

Внеклассное мероприятие: гимназический фестиваль «Золотые страницы мировой литературы»

Классы: 9-11 классы

Цель:

  • формировать актерские навыки при исполнении сценок и стихотворений на английском языке;

  • раскрыть творческие  способности учащихся при подготовке и проведении праздника;


Задачи:

Образовательные:

  • совершенствование у учащихся способности к осуществлению межкультурной коммуникации;

  • совершенствование ИКТ-компетенции;

  • углубление знаний учащихся о  творчестве писателей англоязычных стран.

Развивающие:

  • развитие умений монологической и диалогической речи;

  • развитие эмоциональной и интеллектуальной сферы учащихся;

  • развитие активного и осознанного восприятия учащимися образцов литературы стран изучаемого языка;

  • развитие умений сотрудничать и работать в группе;

  • развитие познавательных способностей;

  • развитие художественно-образного, ассоциативного мышления.

Воспитательные:

  • приобщение учащихся к литературному наследию стран изучаемого языка;

  • воспитание эстетического вкуса у учащихся;

  • повышение положительной мотивации к изучению английского языка.

Оборудование: персональный компьютер, музыкальные колонки, проектор, презентация, экран для демонстрации

Продолжительность внеклассного мероприятия: 90 минут.

Сценарий гимназического фестиваля «Золотые страницы мировой литературы» («Golden Pages»)

Host 1: Ladies and gentlemen, we are glad to welcome you at our annual concert “Golden Pages”!

Host 2: What is our concert dedicated to?

H1: Don’t you know? It’s a festival of dramatizations based on the most beautiful and fascinating works of literature.

H2: Literature! How I like it! By the way, now I’m reading a fantasy book from the series ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’. Next week will be 115 years from the birth of its author, Clive Staples Lewis.

H1: Is that the very book in which four children visited a magic world via a wardrobe?

H2: Just so.

*noticing a wardrobe, standing not far from them, exchanging glances*

H1: Do you mean a simple wardrobe can send us to other countries? Maybe, even back in time?

H2: Let’s try! Where would you like to travel?

H1: Why not travel across the pages of our favorite books? I hope, the Wardrobe could do this. I have so many book characters I would like to meet.

H2: Good idea! You know, the 1st book read in childhood was ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ by Lyman Frank Baum, and I dreamt about travelling with Dorothy, the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion, to make my dreams come true.

H1: And the group of Tatyana Vladimirovna from the 11a form will help us accomplish our journey.

1) 11A – THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ

H2: Our magic wardrobe really works! It was awesome!

H1: Well, magic makes wonders. But how can we learn wizardry?

H2: I don’t know ho, but I know where. At Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

H1: So, you just enter the school and start learning?

H2: No, first you are to be sorted into a faculty. Let’s see how it happens!

H1: We are ready to welcome the group of Anna Alexandrovna from the 9b form with their scene from ‘Harry Potter’ written by Joanne Rowling.

2) 9b – HARRY POTTER

H2: It was pure magic! Thank you!

H1: Children can be so naughty and irresponsible sometimes.

H2: But at the same time they can be clever and creative. Like the main character of our next performance. Meet the group of Anna Alexandrovna from the 10th form with the scene from ‘The Adventures of Tom Sawyer’ by Mark Twain.

3) 10 – THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER

H1: It was exciting, thank you!

H2: Yes, two last scenes showed us that bringing up children can be tough and fun at the same time, and requires a lot of energy.

H1: I believe, that the main character of your next story knows that in the best way possible. Let’s greet the group of Ekaterina Arturovna from the 9b form with the scene from ‘How We Kept Mother’s Day’ by Stephen Leacock.

4) 9B – HOW WE KEPT MOTHER’S DAY

H2: A great story, thank you!

H1: So, our magic wardrobe can travel across the worlds created by the American, British, and Canadian writers, but can it send us to Germany, for example?

H2: Let’s check it. I think, the best example would be the Brothers Grimm and their famous fairytales. Meet the group of Tatyana Valeryevna from the 9, 10, 11 forms.

5) 9, 10, 11 – THE BROTHERS GRIMM

H1: Thank you for your splendid performance!

H2: Of only we could live in fairytales, how varied and wonderful our life would be!

H1: Maybe, our life isn’t like a fairytale, but it can resemble a theatre where all people are actors. Meet the group of Tamara Vasilyevna from the 11b with the monologue ‘All the world's a stage’ from the play ‘As You Like It’ by William Shakespeare.

6) 11B – AS YOU LIKE IT

H2: Thank you, it was fascinating!

H1: Well, if the world’s a theatre, and we are players, I think, some of us would need really good acting skills in order to stay on stage.

H2: Like the main character of our next story. Our magic wardrobe takes us to Christmas and the episode from ‘Old Andrew’s Experience as a Musician’ written by Thomas Hardy. Meet the group of Anna Alexandrovna from the 9a.

7) 9A – OLD ANDREW’S EXPERIENCE AS A MUSICIAN

H1: Such a sweet story, thank you for your performance!

H2: I love the Christmas spirit! This is the time when you believe all your wishes can come true.

H1: I couldn’t agree more. It can make wonders to people, changing their lives forever. For example, the life of the main character of our next performance – let’s greet the group of Valeria Valeryevna from the 10a form with ‘A Christmas Carol’ by Charles Dickens.

8) 10A - A CHRISTMAS CAROL

H2: Thank you for performing this wonderful story!

H1: Yes, the changing of the character can be rather dramatic, and it’s not easy at all.

H2: Well, it’s not impossible either, especially when you’re in love and when you’re persistent.

H1: Like the characters of our next story. Meet the group of Marina Vladimirovna from the 11a form with the scene from ‘The taming of the Shrew’ by William Shakespeare.

9 11A – THE TAMING OF THE SHREW

H2: Thank you for such an unusual interpretation of this play!

H1: I agree, that the power of love is enormous. What comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘love’?

H2: Of course, one of the most famous symbols of love – France.

H1: I’m sure that our magic wardrobe can take us here! Meet the group of Lydia Nikolaevna from the 9, 10, 11 forms with the scene from ‘The Hunchback of Notre-Dame’ by Victor Hugo.

10) 9, 10, 11 – THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE-DAME

H1: Thank you, it was brilliant!

H2: Many people suffer from love. But love can be different: we can love people, animals, things, and money, especially spending it.

H1: This is the main idea of the next performance – let’s greet the group of Oxana Nikolaevna from the 11b form with the scene from ‘Shopaholic’ by Sophie Kinsella.

11) 11B – SHOPAHOLIC

H2: Thank you, it was true to life!

H2: Today our magic wardrobe took us to many countries and books, giving us a unique opportunity to get acquainted with new pieces of literature and to look at those we already know from a different angle.

H1: Thank to all the performers and their teachers!
