Greetings: Good morning, boys & girls. It’s a great pleasure to see all of you, please, take your sits.
Warming-up: Today, we’ll listen to some stories about summer and we’ll study some more new grammar. But, first of all, let’s revise our active vocabulary. Look at the blackboard, please. Here you see the cards with your active vocabulary, but here are some mistakes on them. Let’s choose the correct variant.

Pre-reading Listening-task: a) Now, let’s listen to Nikita, say Where was Nikita on his summer holiday?

Reading-exercise: Now, let’s read Nikita’s letter and write 6 action verbs to answer the question: What did Nikita do on his summer holidays?
Model: Nikita played football and volleyball at summer camp.
Key: 1) Nikita danced at the disco; 2) He watched films at the cinema; 3) He visited his granny in the country; 4) He helped his granny in the garden; 5) He liked the zebra in the Zoo;
Very good, and now let’s look at all these words. What do they have in common?
Key: All of them have got an ending –ed;
New material: So, today we’ll know what does this ending mean? Last lesson we talked about The verb to be in Past Simple and today we’ll know Past Simple with other verbs. You’ve got this rule in your books. It is page 17. Look at the table on it, please. Read it and tell it to your partner.
After-reading exercise: Now, I ask you to read the sentences again and answer the question: When did Nikita do it?
