- England is a constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary system.
- Presently the monarch is Queen Elizabeth II . She is the head of state, but the biggest political power belongs to the prime minister (currently Theresa May ) and Parliament. The latter consists of two houses: the House of Commons and the House of Lords.
London
- London is the capital and most populated city of England and the United Kingdom, its political, economic and cultural center.
- It is situated on the River Thames in the south east of the island of Great Britain. The city is very old and beautiful. Traditionally London is divided into several parts: the City, the West End, the East End and Westminster.

Government
Wales is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. In the House of Commons – the lower house of the UK government – Wales is represented by 40 members of Parliament (out of 650) from Welsh constituencies. A Secretary of State for Wales sits in the UK cabinet. The Wales Office is a department of the United Kingdom government, responsible for Wales. Alun Cairns has been Secretary of State for Wales since March 2016.

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland. The population of the city is about 500,000 people. It is recognized as the capital of Scotland since at least the 15th century. Edinburgh is home to the Scottish Parliament and the seat of the monarchy in Scotland.
