1. Read the text and answer the questions. Give short answers (only one word).

Snowman

It is the first day of the winter holidays. It is a nice day. The trees are white with snow. Peter and his friend go for a walk. There is a lot of snow. Peter says, “Let’s make a snowman, Tom!” “Oh! That’s a good idea,” Tom says.

They make three big snowballs. The first snowball is very big. The second is smaller than the first one. The third is the smallest. The smallest snowball is the “head”. Then they take three sticks: one for a “mouth” and two small sticks for “eyes”.

Tom has an idea. “We can make the nose out of a big carrot”. They run home, take a big carrot and an old pot. The boys put the pot on the snowman’s head and make the “nose” out of the carrot. The snowman is ready. How funny it is! The friends are happy.
