MEAning : speak loudly so that one will be heard above background noise

Examples: 1)I had to shout to make myself heard. 

2)He screamed to make himself heard over the sound of the  plane's engines.

Meaning: make oneself understood Examples: 1)I want this work finished by this afternoon. Do I make myself clear? 2) Perhaps I tried to cover too much and didn't make myself clear. 3) You're going to sit right here and finish that home-work. Do I make myself perfectly clear?

• help oneself

Meaning: to serve oneself  (something)

Examples: 1)Sally: Can I have one of these doughnuts?  Bill: Help yourself. 2)Mother led the little troop of my friends  to the kitchen table, which was covered  with cups of juice and plates of cookies. "Help yourselves," she said .

Meaning: all alone

Meaning : act in a polite or proper way examples: 1) just stay here and behave yourself. 2) Toothless, you behave yourself while I'm gone.
