Lesson on the topic "Friendship" (90 min)



Bullying – Does it concern me?

Equipment and Materials: video projector, smart board, flyers, audio and video materials

1. Icebreaker: 35 min

Vocabulary: self-respect, communication, , suffering, isolation, confidence, fear, suffering, , understanding, abuse, freedom, bullying, love, collaboration.

Students are divided into peers (in general it's 5 peers), each peer receives 3 words and should create a sentence with these words. For that sentence they should create a poster using Adobe Photoshop and materials they can find in Internet.

After everyone is ready all the posters are attached to the blackboard. All the students are asked to be ready to discuss the posters.

2. Pre-screening Questions 15 min

  • What means bullying?

  • What could be the reason for bullying?

  • Is it a global concern?

  • Does this problem concern you?

  • What can prevent t from bullying?

3. Screening (“Leila's Eyebrow” https://video.tv.adobe.com/v/1566/) 5 min

4. Post-screening Questions 15 min

  • What phenomenon is described in the video?

  • What is the intended audience?

  • What do you think the main idea of the message was?

  • What did you feel while watching the video?

  • How do you think that this phenomenon can be stopped?

5. Action 20 min

Each peer picks a number (from 1 to 5) and comments on the poster under this number. They should analyze and comment what the poster message is, if it's only one message. If not what are/is others messages.

In the end the posters made will be hanged in the school to let other students know about this issue.
