Abstract of Thesis Project

Government of Rwanda has introduced a program of developing and promoting human resources for reaching the major target of bright future by using knowledge and skills based on technology, which can contribute to economy development. According to that, People promoted in their activities for instance activities based on ICT, handcraft, carpentry, construction and mechanic. This program empowered the community and it have the effective contribution to the country development as well as to train the people for being able to participate in sustainable growth, through this program people should be trained for helping them to improve the skill so that people should be more creative and innovative.

However, this program of promoting people facing with various challenges such as insufficiency place for training or workshops for people who have skills. Currently, In Kigali especially in Nyamirambo there is a lack of proper spaces for people with different skills for their improvements, even though Nyamirambo known as a hub of skilled people.

The provision of designing vocational training center in Nyamirambo; is for improving the social life of Nyamirambo dweller especially youth, as the main target group of the research.the main goal of the project is to create a favorable environment and working space.

In addition, the project will contribute to economic development through the training and supportive activities that provided in vocational training center. The activities that proposed in vocation training center in Nyamirambo are: Handcraft (weaving, tailoring, and carpentry), construction, mechanic and ICT. These activities are proposed accordingly to the needs of the community.
