The most unique animals on Earth

Pangolins   Small nocturnal animal  who lives in the forests of Asia and Africa. They defend themselves by curling up in a ball when they feel attacked. Cute pangolin pups ride on their mother’s tails for three months and remain in their mother’s care for five months .

Vaquitas  The  vaquita  is the smallest cetacean on earth and is a cousin of the largest animal in the world, the blue whale. They feast on fish, prawns and crabs but are known to have particular preference for squid. Their name can be translated as

Sumatran Rhinoceros   They live in small pockets in the mountain forests of Indonesia and Malaysia.  They weigh approximately 800 kg (which is less than half of the African Rhino) and only grow to around 1.5 meters. They will eat leaves, twigs, bark and fruit, but they have also a bit of a sweet tooth for mangos and figs.

Amur Leopard   The entire world population of the Amur leopard is about 40 - 50 species, the majority of these (around 30-40) live in Primorye region in Russia. They are speedy creatures able to run up to 56 km per hour, faster than Usain Bolt!

Peacock Spiders This spider was discovered inside the woodland forests of Wondul National Park, near Brisbane, in 2015. These colorful spiders measure just five millimeters in length and display a signature dance, where male spiders raise a leg to signal females.

Black-footed ferrets   These animals are back in the wild after almost going extinct twice.   In the late 1980s, 18 black-footed ferrets were part of a captive-breeding program designed to increase their population.
