Essential question: How can fairytales help comprehend reported speech?

To evaluate essential questions I used following criteria:

 

1.Is it open-ended?

Yes, it is. It requires more than one thought and it typically will not have a single answer.

 

2.Is it provocative?

Yes, it is. Because students will be interested to learn grammar material by reading or listening fairytales.

 

3.Is it challenging?

No, it is not. I think it isn`t complicated question.

 

Comments: Overall, I can say that essential question was good. Students like it, such as it is not very challenging, it is interesting.

Totally I give 80 points from 100.

 

 

 

2)Next I evaluated essential question of  Baranova Julia The question is: "How does classroom podcasting impact your English?"

 

1.Is it open-ended?

No, it isn`t. It doesn`t require more than one thought.

 

2.Is it provocative?

Yes, it is. Students learn more when they watch and listen at the same time.

 

3.Is it challenging?

No, it is not. In my opinion, students might find a lot of ready information

 

Comments: Overall, the EQ is not bad, though it shouldn`t have one right answer. I like that she chose to create EQ about podcasting.

 

 

Totally I give 78 points from 100.
