O Holy Night
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior's birth
Long lay the world in sin and ever pining
Til He appeared and the spirit felt its worth
A thrill of hope, the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn

Fall on your knees
O hear the angel voices
O night divine
O the night when Christ was born

Narrator: Listen to the incredible story about Jesus’s birth. Mary and Joseph were Christ's parents. They went to Bethlehem. Their way was dangerous and very long. At last they found a cave where Mary gave a birth to her child. He was a boy. There is a history about the shepherds who were the first to know about the Jesus’s birth.

Joseph: We must go to Bethlehem, I know the way!

Mary: Our way is dangerous and very long. 

Joseph:  Let’s hurry! It is getting darker and darker.

Mary: We don't know where to go and where to stay.

Joseph: Believe me, at last I found a cave.

Mary: I will give a birth to our child here. I am sure He will be a boy (из покрывала делают имитацию пещеры) (звучит песня “Silent Night”)

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

(Выходят четыре пастуха на сцену)

Shepherd 1: Look at the sky. There are so many stars today.

Shepherd 2: Oh, it`s so cold tonight. Let`s make a fire.

Shepherd 3: I`ll do it. (Зажигает импровизированный костер) Sit down around the fire.

Shepherd 1: My friends look at that star. The light of it is so unusual.

Shepherd 2: What does it mean? I haven`t seen anything before.  And what about you?

Shepherd 3: I have never seen it!

(Появляется ангел)

Angel 1: Jesus has been born in a barn in the town of Bethlehem.

Angel 2: Many angels have come to see him.

Angel 1: We are praising God because Jesus came to save us.

Shepherd 1: Fall on your knees
Shepherd 2: O hear the angel voices
Shepherd 3: O night divine
Together: O the night when Christ was born

Shepherd 1: Let`s go to the town to pray for the baby.

 (подходят к Марии и Иосифу и радуются, качают куклу-ребенка.)

Narrator: The shepherds ran into the town to find the baby. They found him in a cave, just as the angel said. Jesus looked like any baby, but the shepherds knew: he was God`s Son.

Together: Jesus was born! Peace and happiness on Earth!

 (Исполняют песню « Christ the King of Christmas»)

Let the Christmas tree remind you
