I want to tell you about my home town Lipetsk.

It’s the capital of the Lipetsk region. Lipetsk is a very beautiful place. Life is quiet here.

The people of our city like to go for long walks in the parks and in summer ,children and their parents spend their time by the Voronezh, our river.

Some people say that Lipetsk is one of the best cities in the world. It is beautiful, modern and interesting. There are a lot of places to go in Lipetsk, such as museums, theatres, exhibition halls, parks and cinemas.

Children like the zoological garden very much. One can see there a great deal of interesting birds and animal species.

It was founded in 1703 by Peter the Great. The City Day is celebrated on the 3d Sunday of July. The population of it is more than half a million (509 719) people. It is situated on both banks of the Voronezh River.

Lipetsk is an industrial city, because there are a lot of plants there. The main plant of it is NLMK (Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combinat), which brought worldwide fame to Lipetsk.We are very proud of our city. I like my city very much. I invite everybody to visit my nice city.
