My native town Buynaksk

Buinaksk is a small town in Dagestan, located on the Shura-Ozen river, 41 km from the Republican center. The area of the settlement is 20.9 square kilometers.

In 1834, the military fortification of Temir Khan Shura was founded on the site of the modern city. In 1866 the settlement received the status of the city and the administrative center of Dagestan region.
