Связующее “r” (there is / there are).

- просмотреть текст и понять его содержание (о чём текст?); отметить для себя слова, которые могут вызвать затруднения при чтении вслух (например, имена, даты, числительные и т.д.) и произнести их вслух; разделить текст на смысловые группы с помощью пауз (более короткие паузы внутри предложения, более длинные в конце предложения); продумать интонацию различных предложений (повествовательное предложение, специальный вопрос – нисходящий тон; общий вопрос, перечисление – восходящий тон);

- прочитать текст шёпотом, соблюдая паузы и интонацию, не пропуская артикли и предлоги;

  • прочитать текст про себя;

  • отметить для себя незнакомые слова или те, в произношении которых сомневается;

  • попробовать прочитать слова по правилам;

- внимательно слушать вопросы (вопрос звучит только один раз, повторное прослушивание вопроса невозможно);

- чтобы ответить на вопрос требуется 40 секунд. Этого времени достаточно, чтобы мысленно сформулировать ответ и затем произнести его вслух;

- стараться давать полные и точные ответы на вопросы (на вопрос можно ответить одним полным предложением или несколькими предложениями; ответ, данный одним словом или словосочетанием, не засчитывается). Вопросы 4,5 и 6, как правило, требуют обоснования своего мнения, более развернутого ответа;

- если в вопросе звучит просьба объяснить что-то (вопросы с Why?; Do you like ...; Why yes or why not?), необходимо обосновать своё мнение / отношение;

- начать с общего представления темы высказывания (Let me give a talk about...; I would like to give a talk about...);

- рекомендованный объём высказывания – 10–12 предложений (вступление, 2–3 предложения на каждый аспект плана, заключение);

I’m going to give a talk about …(из задания). I believe that … is/ are very important in our lives … / I’m inclined to think that every person should ….

It’s common knowledge that

As far as I know,

I think

Well,

To tell the truth,

Actually,…..

Firstly,/Secondly,/Thirdly,

Besides,/Moreover,/However,

By the way,

In my opinion,

Last but not least,

In addition to that

What is more,

All in all, my attitude to …. Is …./I would like to draw my monologue to a conclusion and talk about what my attitude to … is...

That’s all I wanted to say about …

Spotlight

- тщательно отрабатываются лексические единицы активного и пассивного вокабуляра раздела (фонетическая отработка, семантика – устные и письменные диктанты, лексические упражнения, употребление в диалогической и монологической речи);

- вводится и закрепляется грамматический материал с использованием изученных лексических единиц раздела;

- формируются навыки составления специальных и общих вопросов путем выполнения подстановочных и трансформационных упражнений;

- формируются навыки монологической речи путем составления высказываний (пересказ текста, описание картинки, составление рассказов, рекламных постеров и тд), носящих репродуктивный и продуктивный характер;

- используется материал всех компонентов УМК по изучаемому разделу (учебник, рабочая тетрадь, тренировочные упражнения в формате ГИА, книга для чтения, аудиокурс);

- применяются экзаменационные критерии оценивания заданий;

Vitamin D helps bones and muscles to grow strong and healthy. But more and more research is suggesting that vitamin D might also help to prevent many diseases. The easiest way to get vitamin D is from sunlight. The sun’s ultraviolet rays react with skin cells to produce vitamin D. But many people worry about skin damage from the sun. As a result they cover their skin or wear sunblock or stay out of the sun. Not many foods naturally contain vitamin D. Foods high in this vitamin include oily fish such as salmon and tuna, and fish liver oils. Researchers reported last year that farmed salmon had only about one-fourth as much vitamin D as wild salmon.

Etiquette is protocol, rules of behaviour that you memorise. Manners demonstrate socially acceptable behaviour, of course, but also much more than that. They are an expression of how you treat others when you care about them, their self-esteem, and their feelings. Early North American etiquette books claimed that the manners and customs of the “Best Society” could be imitated by all. But some authors stated that the lower classes, meaning those “whose experience in life has been a hardening process”, in fact, treated the rules of etiquette with “contempt and … a sneer.” Modern etiquette books do not use the concept of “best society”, but rather define etiquette as a set of guidelines that “help steer our behaviour as we move through our daily routines” and that can help deal with “the pressures of modern life which make it all the more difficult to stay civil”.

The Arctic Ocean is the smallest ocean of the world. It covers the northern polar region of the Earth. The Arctic region is a very cold place. The lowest recorded temperature there is minus 68 degrees. In spite of the cold, a lot of animals live on the Arctic ice. The polar bear is one of them. Now, due to global warming, the polar bear is in a serious trouble. The thing is that polar bears hunt seals and they need ice to do this. The bears wait for seals on the ice, hunt them in the water and go back to the shore. If the ice is too thin, it breaks under the bears’ heavy bodies and they may drown. The situation is getting worse and some researchers say the ocean may become ice-free as soon as 2050.

It’s OK to let the dishes and the washing pile up; it’s no problem to let another layer of dust settle on top of the TV; and it’s absolutely fine to leave the vacuum cleaner in its corner for the day. The laundry will be just fine in the basket until tomorrow. And as for cooking, make sure you have a home-delivery phone number handy. Or get yourself off to a restaurant. Erected in 1961 to prevent East German citizens moving to the West, the Berlin Wall initially consisted mainly of barbed wire and armed guards. Within months a concrete wall began to appear. On the east side of the wall, tank traps and ditches were built as protection against attack. Although over 170 people lost their lives in Berlin trying to escape to the West, human will and ingenuity often won, with a number of successful escape attempts via tunnels and, on one occasion, in a home-made hot air balloon. The 107-kilometre-long structure lost its importance in 1989, when Hungary allowed East Germans to pass through their country on their way to Austria and West Germany, and after travel restrictions were lifted, people began to destroy whole sections of the wall.
