Bronze Horseman

Bronze Horseman - monument to Peter I on the Senate Square in St. Petersburg. The presentation of the monument was 7 (18) in August 1782. Later, it got its name from the famous homonymous poem by Pushkin, but actually made of bronze.

Еquestrian statue of Peter the model made by the sculptor Etienne Falconet in 1768-1770. The head of the statue molded pupil of the sculptor Marie-Anne Collot. Snake on a plan Falcone, fashioned Fedor Gordeev.

The casting of the statue was carried out under the direction of casting Affairs Ekimova master Vasily Petrovich and was completed in 1778 .
